In Thailand a small statue of the Thai spirit or Thai saint Nang Kwak can be found in nearly every shop, in bars, restaurants and even at the local markets and street vendors. The legend of Nang Kwak is originated in the ancient India. Its the legend of a young girl, who followed the Buddha Dharma and received special blessings in reward. After that, her father, a merchant, could sell much more in less time and the people believed it was the blessing of Nang Kwak.
Mae Nang Kwak figurines are mostly dressed in red,
the right hand is beckoning customers in the Thai way,
with the palm of the hand to the bottom.
Mae Nang Kwak is always wearing a golden crown
and mostly at the left side there is a golden sachet.

Thai people believe that Nang Kwak boosts the business and makes You rich.
Unfortunatly we can´t confirm that, because all of our businesses in Thailand
had to be given up, even Nang Kwak couldn´t help against all
the financial crises in the past and present.
Maybe You´re more lucky, than let us know
and don´t forget to support the Thai Eyes project.
