One of the most important words in Thailand is Hong Nam
because everybody will use the Hong Nam .
Hong Nam is the Thai word for toilet or bathroom,
so You see how important this word could be for some reasons.

Hong Nam is a compound word,
consisting of Hong means room and Nam means water.
Together it is the water room, the toilet or the bathroom.

This was the first Thai word from our new series Thai for beginners.
If You decide to come to Thailand and travel off the beaten tourist path,
You should know at least a few Thai words.
At a first glance the Thai language seams to be very difficult,
but believe us, it is not.
