Many Thai people and also the young, cute Thai Akha Hill Tribe boy Jonny are insect eaters. We met a lot of people in Thailand, who are really crazy for fried insects. It was a nice and sunny day and we decided to go to the
Huay Tung Tao Lake, near Chiang Mai, North Thailand to do a few photoshots with our boys. For sure there has to be food and drinks on the table and young Jonny couldn´t resist, while an old woman was selling fried bugs and crickets. We bought him a few crickets and our photographer used his chance to make a few shots.

This is Jonny´s mouthwatering cricket snack.
The crickets has been fried with pandanus leaves
and been sprinkled with a bit of soy sauce.
What a culinary delight !

OMG, would be the 1st reaction, but in Thailand it’s a delicatesse to eat insects so from that view it’s quiet normal to do so, The locals offered me several times but so far I kept refusing and they seem to understand, it’s not really what we are used too :D
