Buddha Tattoo - Sacred Tattoo

Many Thais are very superstitious and believe in a lot of odd things,
which are out of the common for farangs (foreigners).
Many farangs are shaking their heads, if the come across sacred tattoos/Buddha Tattoos,
which are very common in Thailand.
There are a lot of words for this “holy tattoos”, like Buddha tattoo, sacred tattoo, brahmin tattoo, Sanskrit tattoo, temple tattoo or buddhist tattoo….
A Buddha tattoo has to be made by a buddhist monk or a brahmin/brahman priest.
The words on the Tattoos are written in Sanskrit, the old language of the Brahman.
Thais believe this tattoos will make You invulnerable and give You strength,
this is why “Buddha tattoos” are very popular with Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) fighter.
