    Flamming Heart Thai Katoey

    Thai Katoeys, the third sex, in English called Ladyboys, Transvestites or Drag Queens,
    are widely accepted in Thailand. Most Thai Katoeys live in bigger cities,
    as in small rural villages they´ll have a hard stand.
    Many Kathoeys are well educated and a lot of them study at an university.
    Are they more clever or intelligent than “normal” people,
    we mean Yes.
    Another thing about Thai Katoeys is, that they are mostly very funny people,
    they feel like they´re on stage all the time.

    At the picture below You´ll see one of our best friends,
    a Thai Katoey, name Taeng.
    We know her (him ?) more then 20 years.
    Since a few years she´s working in a key position for a cable TV station in Chiang Mai,
    she´s involved in many social projects and in HIV informing for young Thai people,
    especially Thai Hill Tribes.
    Now maybe You´ll think, that must be a quite serious person,
    not at all !
    Taeng is one of the most funny guys we ever met,
    we enjoyed a relaxing fun-afternoon in the swimming pool with her
    and she showed us that also a swimming pool,
    could be used as a stage for the self presentation
    of a flamming heart.
