From 06.02.-08.02.2009 Chiang Mai – North Thailand held
the 33. Chiang Mai Flower Festival.
The Flower Festival with it´s Flower Parade is well-liked by Tourists and Thaipeople.
The parade vehicles are nicely decorated with flowers and plants from the region
and the participants like to wear flowery dresses, like the people on the picture.
The 1. Chiang Mai Flower Festival took place in 1977
and it was such a big success, that it´s now been held annually,
at the first week of February.
The highlight of the festival is the flower parade,
but the festival also has a lot of side attractions,
like exhibitions of tropical plants, orchids and new hybrids,
concerts, beauty contests, Thai dancing shows and more….and more…
You´d missed the festival ???
