Huay Tung Tao, sometimes called the Chiang Mai beach,
is a recreational area around a man-made lake.
Huay Tung Tao is a picturesque getaway for Chiang Mai locals
and foreigners as well. Enjoy the magnificent view with the Doi Suthep mountain
as background or get enchanted by sunrise or sunset.
On weekends Huay Tung Tao gets quite crowdy,
but during the week You can enjoy the beauty of the lake
in tranquility. Around the lake are innumerable bamboo huts
belonging to small restaurants, which serve tasty Thai food & drinks
at reasonable prices. The bamboo huts are free of charge,
but for sure You have to order a drink or something to eat.
