Kalae-Lanna Thai Style-Norththailand
By Thai-Eyes | August 15, 2008
Kalae (Galae) are widely used in Nortthailand, the former kingdom of Lanna,
as a top roof ending. This beautiful, decorative items are mostly carved from teakwood
and should remain to the horns of the waterbuffalo.
Sometimes still used in modern Thai architecture,
Kalae (Galae) gives a unique Lanna style to a building.
