Kalae (Galae) are widely used in North Thailand,
the former kingdom of Lanna, as a top roof ending.
This beautiful, decorative items are mostly carved from teakwood
and should remain to the horns of the waterbuffalo.
Sometimes still used in modern Thai architecture,
Kalae (Galae) gives a unique Lanna style to a building.
