Just 0.5 cm to 4 cm is the size of the hottest of the Thai Chilis.
Prik kee noo, means translated mouse shit chili or more distinguished, mouse excrement chilli, another term is birds eye chili (bird eye chili). In addition there is a big variety of spellings:
Prig khi nu, Phrik khee noo, Prik ki nu, etc……
To this devilish chillipeppers applies: the smaller the hotter.

On the Scoville scale ( scale of fierceness) this fiery speciality reaches the 8 on the 10 scale.
Thaipeople love to eat them raw as supplement to different dishes and snacks, one bites in the very aromatic chillipepper and chews it well .
Sweating and watering eyes are guaranted !
Prik kee noo are beloved in Thailand in such a way,
that the master of Thaipop Bird Thongchai praised the small chillipepper from hell
in one of his biggest hits from the year 1990.
The song advanced to a kind of a hymn and is nowadays still extremely popular.

While handling chillis one should be very carefully.
The contact with the eyes or mucous membranes leads to an unforgettable,
although not particularly pleasant experience.
Either rubber gloves should be used
or immediately after the contact
of cutted chilipeppers
the hands should be washed with cold water.
Also with the dosage one should be careful,
this things are very hot and usually
only fun for a real chilihead.
and…..chillis are burning 2 times!!!
