If smoking was forbidden in Thailand only in public buildings
and closed air-conditioned areas,
then since 11.02.2008 smoking is prohibited in Thailand by law
in bars, discotheques, restaurants and public places all over the country.

Offender against the new, strict “No Smoking” law have to face penalties up to 2000. – Baht . Bar operators, owner of restaurants, etc…. will get a “just” warning until the end of of May 2008, afterwards the punishment is up to a 20.000. – Baht fine. One may be strained, as and whether this law in Thailand is converted. The Thais has been always full professional with handling the countless laws of the country.

Also prostitution is prohibited by law in Thailand.
