Thai Kathoeys promoting Horse Piss Eggs – Pidan

Horse Piss Eggs are a speciality from the chinese kitchen, where they??re called Pidan (leather eggs).
In Thailand they??re called “Khai Yiaou Maa”, which means horse piss eggs.
This strange name results from their stinky smell, when opened.
The smell reminds of ammoniac or sulfur.
