Young buddhist monks cleaning the temple Thailand

    By Thai-Eyes | December 27, 2008

In a buddhist Thai temple is also a lot of work to do for the monks.
Cleaning up the temple has mostly be done by the young monks and novices.
The photos of the young buddhist monks has been made at Wat Sisoda (Srisoda),
a buddhist monastery at the foot of the well known Mountain
Doi Suthep in Chiang Mai North Thailand.
Most of the young monks are hilltribe boys from northern Thailand,
they get teached in Buddhism and they also go to school,
which many poor hilltribe families couldn´t afford in their home villages.

I’m holding a dog wash for charity funds and donations for this type of reason. I’m also going to take this contribution for Thai villagers as well. I know the type of thai village I want to contribute but can you tell me which temple school in Chiang Rai needs the most support? I want to donate school supplies or even money for these children. Please let me know soon – ASAP! because I’m leaving to Thailand May 13th, 2010 in about three weeks. Please email me at uavida@gmail.com.
