Young Thai Boy Scouts
By Thai-Eyes | September 15, 2008
On the 1.July 1911, King Vajiravudh, Rama VI founded the “Wild Tiger Corps”,
the Thai Scout Movement.
From this day on, the Thai government and the Royal Family are supporting
the Scout Movement of Thailand.
His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej Rama IX of Thailand is the Chief Scout.
Scouting in Thailand is not the same like in other countries,
because scouting is part of the Thai school education.
Once a week the students wear theit scout uniforms and have to fulfil tasks,
like regulate the traffic at start of school in the morning
and end of school in the afternoon.
In Thai the Thai Scouts are called: Luk Suea,
witch means “Children of the Tiger”
Our Thai-Eyes photographer took the snapshot of this 2 young Thai Boy Scouts,
while they are showing the Thai Scout Salute to him.
Aren´t the 2 young Thai boys look a bit like the asian version
of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy???
